Attorney Profile

Attorney Kathleen S. Davies has practiced law for more than 25 years, including serving as the assistant state attorney in the Dade County State Attorney’s Office, and as a prosecutor with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington, D.C.

She relocated to Orlando from Washington, D.C., in 2006 and founded The Davies Law Firm, LLC, which provides aggressive and accomplished legal counsel in family law, personal injury and bankruptcy.

Ms. Davies is a solutions-oriented lawyer who has earned a stellar reputation among judges and opposing counsel in courtrooms throughout Greater Orlando, Orange County and beyond.

Past clients have appreciated her straightforward approach in explaining legal options and possible outcomes. She helps her clients set realistic objectives and often is able to resolve cases without going to trial.

However, when a fair agreement cannot be reached, attorney Davies is a highly skilled litigator with extensive courtroom experience who is prepared to protect her clients’ rights in court. She handled nearly 100 jury trials during her work with the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the State Attorney’s Office for Miami-Dade County.

Throughout her life, Ms. Davies has embraced learning and teaching opportunities. She is a Fulbright scholar who earned a master’s degree in public administration from Harvard University, completed a summer program at Oxford University in England and has lectured at both Harvard Law School and the U.S. Department of Justice.
